I generally go by either Alicorn or Ali (sometimes with alternate spellings) all over the internet. My friends all call me Ali when we hang out offline, too, so if you're an lj friend and we happen to meet up at a con or something, I'll answer to that. If you're not an lj friend, I don't mind if people friend me without asking, but I may or may not reciprocate - if you think I ought to because we know each other off-lj, drop a comment or message and let me know who you are (in case I can't figure it out from your profile / posts). Sometimes I have a terrible memory for names and faces, though (especially if I'm meeting a whole lot of new people at once), so please don't be offended if I blank out and don't remember you - we can just meet for the first time all over again!
In this journal you will find: random photos, con reports, rambling about daily life, and nothing particularly deep, or even interesting unless it covers a topic that you enjoy (cosplay, fandom, whatever) or you're a friend who likes to know what's going on in my life. I never tag stuff, either. Hmm, maybe I should, it'd be easier to find things I want to go back and read... >.>

I try to show up to parapara events at most of the conventions I go to so I can meet new people or old friends who live too far away to visit - super fun! If you see me around, come say hi.
I have spent a year in Paraguay living with a host family and volunteering at a local TV station, which is also where I got my sweet little dog Koko. GO AFS! I speak weird Paraguayan Spanish, and therefore I can't understand half of what the day laborers here say. Why do accents between countries have to be so crazy-different?
